The Body Glove USBA Tour is gearing up for a weekend of swell with a 3-5 ft Hawaiian swell looking to arrive just in time for the event! A long strech of Southern Hemisphere surf has been marching it’s way to the Hawaiian Islands and there looks to be no slowing down for the forth of July weekend. Along with the Men and their Pro division’s vast talent pool the Women’s Pro riders will be showing their skills  in the solid conditions acpected. It will be a heart pounding day for the our large field of talented girls. Karla Costa Taylor will be entering the event alongside her Husband Alister. She is a former World Champion who has one of the most impressive competitive resumes in womens Bodyboarding. Also former event winners Claudia Ferrari and Roberta Bitzer will be looking to reclaim their crown. A rumor is stiring that Women’s Tour leader and IBA Pipeline/2009 Sport Chalet US Open Champion Luz Marie Grande, will be arriving just before the event. If she does show, she has a chance to win the tour depending on her final result. Standby to www.usbatour.com for more news as we head into this weekends event.

Note:  For all amateur girls looking to compete, there will be, for the first time in the USBA Sandy Beach Pro, a Girl’s Amateur division, with FREE ENTRY!  Please contact USBA staff asap as there will be limited entry.  First-timers are more than welcome to enter.  Heats will be held on Sunday.  The winner will take home a MILKSHAKES bodyboard.

Note: To all Pro riders, to be elgible for USBA Points and Prize money for the 2009 season as well to gain a top 8 USBA spot into the 2009 IBA Pipleine Pro as a Men’s Pro rider you must be a current 2009 USBA Member in your division.

July 3rd: Rider check in and top 16 USBA Meet and Greet at Dave and Busters Honolulu
6pm-8pm

July 4th: Day 1 of competition with the Amateurs and Men's Pro Divisions
7:30 AM Rider heat check in.  (Women’s on call)
Fourth of July Party at Dave and Busters Honolulu for the fans 8pm start

July 5th: Rider check in 7:30 am. Final day of Men's, Women's, Girl’s Amateur and Drop Knee Pro. All finals finishing by 4:30 pm
Closing awards at D&B with a 8pm start time
